White Rabbit has been delivering bold, purposeful brand, web, and print design for New Zealand businesses for a decade. Last year, we expanded our burrow to Los Angeles, bringing our creative expertise to a whole new audience. We’re now on the hunt for a dynamic and creative Senior Web Designer with a strong background in building standout websites using WordPress and Elementor to join our team. You'll lead the design and development of websites that blend creativity with functionality, shaping the online presence of our clients across a range of industries.
As a Senior Web Designer at White Rabbit, you’ll play a pivotal role in the design process, overseeing the execution of web projects from concept through to launch. You’ll create visually stunning and user-friendly websites that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in web design, with a focus on responsive and user-centered design.
- Advanced skills in industry-standard design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of Elementor and WordPress.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of web design projects, demonstrating creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of user experience.
- Expertise in front-end development with a strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as familiarity with web frameworks and content management systems (CMS).
- Solid understanding of a vast array of WordPress plugins and how to integrate them effectively into web projects.
- Proven ability in designing and optimising eCommerce stores using WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Experience with web design best practices, performance optimisation, and cross-browser compatibility.
- A passion for staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web design and user experience.
- Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to clients and team members, incorporating feedback into the design process.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident in engaging with clients, gathering design requirements, presenting concepts, incorporating feedback to revise designs and delivering high-quality work on schedule.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours a week.
You'll work with the team producing innovative web design solutions that help achieve client and company goals.
This role will be fully remote—but candidates must be based in LA (as occasional face to face meetings may be required).
