Job Summary:
Baristas provide White Rhino Coffee guests with an unparalleled guest experience. They are the hosts of the café and perform every task with top quality.
Daily Tasks and Projects:
- First point of customer service, greeting and serving customers with a standard of excellence
- Operate all barista station including bar, bar-back and POS
- Maintain bar and café cleanliness
- Exhibit strong knowledge of our beverage and food menu
- Create coffee, tea, and other beverages to order, as well as pastry and Quick Bites items with attention to detail and consistency
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week
- Ability to attend every monthly staff meeting
- Ability to comply to punctuality and performance standards
Required Education, Certification, or Experience:
- Food handler certification (completed within 30 days of hire)
- Previous barista experience a plus, but not required
- All Baristas are required to complete 100% of our POS and Barista training within 30 days of hire date
Compensation and Benefits:
- $7.25 - $9.50 per hour starting rate, based on experience
- Opportunity to participate in company benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.) if 30 hr average over 6-month period
- Bonuses and raises available, based on meeting performance goals
Reports to: White Rhino Store Manager
FLSA status: Non-exempt
