Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage medical scheduling, including appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Verify insurance information, including Medicare, to ensure proper billing processes.
- Provide administrative support by coordinating with medical staff for efficient office operations.
- Utilize EMR software for managing patient accounts and scheduling.
- Assist in coding procedures for insurance claims when necessary.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role is required.
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes is a plus.
- Proficient in medical scheduling systems; experience with Revolution EMR is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Bilingual proficiency is a valued asset but not mandatory.
- Some college required.
