Job Summary
To perform a wide range of service skills from dishes to the serving line.
Job Duties:
- Assists others in maintaining a clean facility. Daily cleaning lists completed.
- Sets up work area for operation, stocks nutritional area, tray-line, and cafe.
- Performs cleaning tasks based on schedule and daily assignments.
- Stacks and maintains storage of supplies in appropriate areas in accordance with State Health Regulations.
- Able to serve patient tray line or cafeteria line.
- Operates cash registers and records charges.
- Assures a safe work environment and follows infection control guidelines.
- Assists in catering functions by setting china, linens, and setting chaffers.
- Adheres to WRMC’s Dress Code Policy.
- Will assist Hostess staff in providing good customer service to our patients by delivering trays/snacks in an efficient and pleasant manner.
- Run dishes through a dish machine and places on shelves for cooking staff and tray line staff.
- Will be able to run dish machine, learn temperature requirements, operate dish machine. Be able to operate 3 compartment sinks.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
Communication Skills:
- Verbal ability to communicate with staff, co-workers, and management in a professional manner.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to comprehend a wide range of service skills.
- General knowledge and skills required for operating foodservice equipment.
- Ability to comprehend a wide range of service skills and coordination of details when working with coworkers.
- Ability to read and comprehend MSDS information, chemical usage, and written communication in infection control guidelines.
- Ability to work from standards set by Arkansas State Health Department requirements/guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Stoops, bends, and climbs in performing work. Long periods of standing and walking may be required. Handles and manipulates department specific equipment. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds. Stand for long periods of time.
Essentials:
- Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
