Job Summary: A skilled entry level maintenance Tech. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and performs a variety of duties in the maintenance and operation of the facility. The incumbent may advance to a higher level after gaining a minimum of 6 months experience, demonstrates proficiency, and receives a state boiler operator license.

Training and Experience:
- One-year experience in plant maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related field.
- Arkansas State Boiler License
- Any required Licenses or Certificate for specific trade or related fields.

- Good problem solving and negotiating skills
- Verbal ability to communicate with staff, patients, guest and management
- Ability to comprehend a wide range of subjects.
- Good organization skills
- Ability to work from Arkansas Health Department, CMS and OSHA standards and guidelines.
Physical Demands: Job responsibilities require a considerable amount of physical work. The individual will be required to assist with lifting and moving patients, pushing of carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment; and lifting or pushing of up to 50 pounds. Workday requires frequent walking, stooping, bending, climbing ladders and squatting up to eight (8) hours per day. Must be able to work in confined and enclosed spaces. Must possess good manual dexterity, must possess good visual acuity and not be colorblind. Daily exposure to extreme heat and/or cold environment with humidity and high noise levels. The individual must also be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, and patient rooms in response to hospital emergencies. Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills. A significant amount of writing and computer entry is required.
