What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Math Interventionist position at White River Valley Supervisory Union?
First Branch Unified District is seeking a 1.0 FTE math interventionist to support student achievement in mathematics with special attention to targeted intervention & instruction. The math interventionist provides individual and small group instruction in various settings. The mathematics interventionist will work with current district resources to collaborate on the needs of students, teachers, and families. The ideal candidate has mathematics instructional experience, is flexible, well organized, has strong classroom management, and uses data to make instructional decisions.
The math intervention may teach one to two math sections per day using Bridges Math in general education, inclusion, or pull-out intervention settings.Successful Candidates Should Have: A current Vermont Teacher certification in Mathematics or be eligible for a provisional licenseExperience working with middle school studentsDemonstrated ability to collaborate.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyExperience working with Bridges Math program
