The White River Valley Supervisory Union is seeking a full or part-time Speech Language Pathologist to expand our supportive team beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate would have experience working directly with students in schools. The candidate should be ready to work in collaboration with general education teachers, parents, special educators, and paraeducators.
The White River Valley Supervisory Union is located in the beautiful and picturesque White
River Valley of Vermont. The White River Valley is approximately 25 minutes from Killington/Pico
Ski Resort and 12 miles from Saskadena Six ski mountain. The White River flows through our

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid VT Educator license with a Speech Language Pathologist endorsement (0-84). Individuals who hold a corresponding teaching license outside the state of VT shall be considered equally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a special education and/or with children in a hospital or home setting
Excellent organization, communication and time management skills
Genuine desire to work with all students
Technology proficient to perform the requirements of the position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide education and support to teachers, classroom staff, parents and other caregivers about
speech therapy services.
Develop, implement and coordinate a speech language program for children with
disabilities consistent with the Individual Education Plan (IEP)
Conduct assessments. Review assessment findings with parents and the
education team.
Provide direct service to children.
Evaluate and report on children's progress.
Advise, instruct and assist education staff to implement speech and language plans.
Facilitate the procurement and teaching of assistive technology
Aid in the development of differentiated instructional strategies.
Recommendations for materials, tools and/or technology to facilitate learning
