Regional School Nurse (RN) OR School District LPN

General Responsibilities Regional School Nurse: Reporting directly to the Health Services Director, the Regional School Nurse implements, manages and delivers school health services to school districts and /or agencies. The school nurse scope of practice is defined by law and regulation and professional school nursing standards. School District LPN: Under the direction of the Regional School Nurse, the School District LPN implements, manages and delivers school health services to schools districts and /or agencies. The school nurse scope of practice is defined by law and regulation and professional school nursing standards. Assignment: This position will be approximately 9 hours per week, school year schedule, and will serve an after school program. It may be combined with our open Special Education Nurse position at White Salmon. Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills Minimum Qualifications: Regional School Nurse

1. Valid Washington State registered nurse (RN) license.
2. Experience in pediatrics and willingness to delegate care in a school setting.
3. Current CPR/1st aid certification.
4. Experience in the health care of school age children.

School District LPN

1. Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Current CPR/1st aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing; valid Washington ESA certificate as a school nurse; school nurse experience in public or private schools.
2. Experience working with community service agencies, i.e. health professionals, department of health, social services.
3. Experience providing health education training to individuals or in a classroom setting.
4. Experience in pediatrics and the health care of school age children.

Working Conditions/Employment Requirements Working Conditions:

1. Exposed to diseases carried by students, exposed to student noise levels.
2. Travel to school buildings and districts to provide services.
3. Ability to physically move and/or lift equipment varying in weight up to 35 lb.
4. Regular attendance during assigned work schedule.

Employment Requirements:

1. Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through Washington State Patrol and FBI.
2. Proof of immunization/disease including MMR/Td/Hepatitis B/Varicella.

Salary : $32 - $50
