CHS After School Site Coordinator

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively schedules, plans, directs and delivers a site-specific extended school day program
• Recruits and retains students, staff, families and volunteers
• Develops schedules for students and staff and ensures materials and curriculum needed are available in a timely manner
• Effectively coordinates with school-day staff regarding specific student needs
• Communicates with parents, staff and administrators through emails, and phone calls
• Ensures the implementation of an effective student management (behavior) system consistent with school and district student management systems
• Teaches, tutors and supervises students as needed
• Collaborates with program director, staff, administrators to maintain ongoing assessment and evaluation activities to meet record-keeping and reporting requirements
• Potential for teaching and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or more than 6 years of experience working successfully with academically
  struggling students in a school setting
• Demonstrates ability to relate positively with diverse youth and adults
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Strong computer and technology skills including record-keeping and data input

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching license
• Recent experience teaching students
• Speak, understand and write Spanish
• Familiarity with computer based educational coursework
