Duties
- Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily living activities such as, dressing, grooming, and standby assist with mobility.
- Observe and report any changes in client's conditions or behavior changes to White Sands Home Care or appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
- Assist with memory care activities for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including tidying living spaces and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Uphold residents' rights by promoting independence and dignity in all interactions.
- Assist clients safely using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
Skills
- Strong ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining patience and understanding.
- Proficient in patient observation skills to recognize changes in health or behavior effectively.
- Experience with meal preparation that accommodates dietary restrictions is extremely important. Please disregard this ad if you are lacking cooking skills.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques is an asset for working with clients facing cognitive impairments.
- CPR certification is highly desirable to ensure client safety in emergencies.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual client needs.

- Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of promoting dignity in caregiving practices. .
