As a Patient Registration Representative at White Sands Treatment Center, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking help with addiction. Located in a welcoming community, this role is vital in ensuring a smooth registration process while upholding our commitment to compassionate care and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients during the registration process with professionalism and empathy.
- Collect and verify patient information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance overall clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front desk or administrative roles within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff in a compassionate manner.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems; experience with Kipu is a plus.
- Strong typing skills, including 10-key proficiency, for efficient data management.
