Spring Arbor Senior Living of Salisbury in Midlothian, VA is seeking qualified Med Techs to join our Assisted Living team. Individuals are responsible for managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. They direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and help coordinate services to residents under the direction of the Resident Care Director. At times, our med tech team members may be required to perform the duties of the Resident Assistant on an as needed basis.

- Valid and state-specific Med Tech certification (Candidates must possess to move forward in process)
- In addition to Med Tech certification, a PCA/DCS or CNA certification is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma, or equivalent required
- Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
WHAT YOU WILL DO!
- Document and review medication administration, refer to residents’ charts and administer medications according to physician’s orders.
- Ensure that medications are being administered at appropriate times and order residents’ medications in a timely manner.
- Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or therapies
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility and incontinence care.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
