Civil General Laborer - Sitework
Duties as assigned by Superintendent or Civil Operations Director in connection with the completion of civil projects as assigned. The construction laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at construction projects. The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. The position may assist other craft workers.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
Shovels concrete (asphalt) into construction areas.
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Operates Equipment.
Promote Customer Relations
Assists in building effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Junior college or trade/vocation training preferred; Preferably in a construction environment.
Must have OSHA required equipment certifications, or complete company offered training within 4 weeks of hire.
The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely.
Ability to work in extreme weather fluctuations.
Ability to lift 50+lbs.
Must have two (2) Valid forms of ID.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a great work ethic.
Construction experience a plus.
Salary : $36,000 - $51,000
