Family Practice Physician

Summary:

Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting at Fort Washakie, WY. Evaluate, diagnose, treat, admit, and provide consultation to patients 18 years and older with a wide variety of illnesses, diseases, injuries, and functional disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, admit, and provide consultation to patients 18 years and older
• Provide chronic disease prevention and management, complete physical exams, medication counseling, annual well-patient exams, and acute patient exams
• Work in a diverse user population of 10,964 Native American individuals

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Current full & unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• DEA Certificate
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Able to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear
• Remain in a stationary position with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking
• Move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another
• Communicate with others to exchange information
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and smell
• Use a computer keyboard intermittently, repeating the same movements
• Have the ability to physically move or lift patients and use proper posture to avoid injury
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
• The noise level in the work environment ranges regularly from quiet to loud

Compensation:

$180,000-230,000 per year
