What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and timely repairs to ensure equipment meets budgeted maintenance targets.
- Maintain and operate equipment according to required standards.
- Collaborate closely with the I&E Supervisor to ensure team safety and environmental compliance.
- Provide regular feedback on any emerging issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Support production facilities by delivering reliable maintenance expertise to minimize downtime and loss of production.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and periodically calibrate instruments on a variety of equipment, including analyzers, PLCs, process control equipment, communication networks, and field monitoring equipment.
- Install, program, and calibrate new equipment, rebuild as needed, and assess new technologies for efficiency.
- Document and maintain records of maintenance projects.
- Foster a safe, efficient, and continuously improving work culture.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Journeyman Instrument Technician with strong electrical expertise
- Intermediate proficiency in math and reading wire diagrams and schematics
- Knowledgeable in measurement test equipment
- 5-10 years of experience in process control instrumentation and electrical/industrial electronics
- Proven technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical, instrumentation, and communication systems
- Experience in control valve maintenance and repair
- Certified training in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical valve actuators is a plus
- Familiar with predictive maintenance activities and capable of developing thorough work procedures
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- A quick learner, adaptable to new technologies
- Structured approach to problem-solving with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective both independently and as part of a team
- Highly motivated with a professional demeanor
- Client-focused, results-driven, and takes ownership of problems to see them through to completion
- High attention to detail and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
