Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician with specialized experience in endovascular procedures to join our office-based Endovascular Suite. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a non-hospital setting, providing support during minimally invasive vascular procedures, and maintaining a sterile field to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the vascular team by preparing and maintaining a sterile field during endovascular procedures, including stent placements, angioplasties, and endovenous procedures
- Pass instruments and supplies to the physician and clinical staff in a timely and efficient manner
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and assist with room turnover between procedures
- Work closely with the physician, vascular technologists, and office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and a safe environment
- Document surgical counts and maintain proper records for each procedure
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards specific to endovascular practices
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred, but not required
- Minimum 1–2 years of scrub tech experience, with a focus on endovascular or vascular procedures
- Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Solid understanding of sterile techniques and endovascular-specific instruments and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office-based setting with a focus on patient care and safety
- Experience with minimally invasive procedures such as stent grafts, angiograms, thrombectomy, and vein ablations
- Familiarity with endovascular imaging systems (e.g., fluoroscopy) and procedural setup
- Prior experience in an office or outpatient procedure setting, working alongside vascular surgeons or interventional radiologists
- Comfortable assisting in both diagnostic and interventional endovascular procedures
