What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineer (Clearance Required) position at Whiteboard Federal?
Whiteboard Federal is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide mission-critical support to our customers. The ideal candidate will need to possess the following: working with the team to establish procedures to solve complex problems regarding system equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and output; preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written as well as designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting newly written programs; providing guidance to less experienced team members; delivering quality solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Able to perform at an expert technical level and have a strong understanding of all
phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. - Experience in designing, developing and implementing software systems, applications, and related products.
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software
management best practices. - Working technical knowledge of current software protocols, and Internet standards.
- Excellent software troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive application support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current programming languages.
- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
- Ability to capture requirements at both the management and technical level, and break those requirements down into measurable/testable user stories.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor or Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate professional experience in a technical field.
- Experience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle processes and practices.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working within a cloud environment, AWS preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
