Whitebridge Pet Brands is hiring a Supply Chain Planner who is responsible for ensuring an optimized flow of products across the network, specialized end-to-end procurement planning, and driving accurate demand forecasting. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product availability while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Optimization & Flow:
- Ensure an efficient flow of products within the supply chain network while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability.
- Optimize and maintain a balanced inventory that aligns with demand forecasting, ensuring product availability while minimizing excess stock and reducing carrying costs.
- Project Procurement:
- Manage purchase orders to secure continuity of supply.
- Work directly with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain great working relationships with assigned suppliers and vendors.
- Forecasting & Planning:
- Collaborate with the Demand Manager to generate accurate demand forecasts.
- Ensure forecasts account for new item launches and promotional sales.
- Proactively manage forecast changes and communicate them to internal stakeholders.
- Customer Satisfaction (OTIF):
- Focus on meeting customers’ On-Time In-Full (OTIF) expectations for all orders.
- Balance accuracy in planning and forecasting with minimizing costs and compliance charges.
- Strategically allocate available inventory based on leadership goals and directives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing, and Demand Planning.
- Help execute organizational initiatives while meeting deadlines.
- Work with Sales and Director of Supply Chain to execute customer-specific promotions and planogram resets.
- Collaborate with the Supply Planning and Logistics teams to ensure customer order-fill and timeliness expectations are met.
- Problem-Solving & Quick Resolutions:
- Be action-oriented with the ability to provide quick, sound resolutions to any supply chain disruptions or issues.
- Motivated, proactive, resourceful, and organized.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field
- 3 years previous business experience in procurement, demand forecasting, and inventory management. CPG experience preferred
- Expert Microsoft Excel user with the ability to draw conclusions from data and present them effectively
- Experience using and/or implementing demand planning or ERP software is a plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
