A high-growth Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business is seeking a Finance Director to join their team. This newly created role will work directly under the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing all Accounting, Reporting, and Financial Analysis functions for the business.

- Prepare the GAAP and STAT financial statements for multiple insurance carriers.
- Prepare, validate, and reconcile the quarterly and annual investment schedules and disclosures for GAAP, STAT, and Management financial reporting for carriers.
- Analyze financial variances and provide insight to management.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with intercompany balancing and eliminations.
- Research and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the completion of Model Audit requirements and maintain internal controls.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of the finance team.
- 10 years of experience desired.
- CPA or progression towards CPA preferred but not required.
- Understanding of both STAT and GAAP accounting principles.
