Hybrid Assistant Controller/Controller

Extremely prominent and prestigious Private Equity Fund with Miami office is launching a new product/fund and are looking for an accomplished Accounting Professional to run point on the fund launch from an accounting standpoint. They are the largest pure buy-out firm in the world, and have a legendary reputation in the technology investing space. The firm operates very lean, 200 employees total and is huge on promoting its people from within and giving great exposure to leadership. They offer 100% covered benefits, a 401k, $150 a month towards a gym membership, stocked kitchen, catered lunch, and many firm wide events for employees. The firm growth trajectory is Associate, Senior Associate, then VP. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office.

Job Function

• Work directly with firm leadership performing due diligence on external vendors, auditors etc. on fund setup and reporting
• Oversee all financial reporting, fund administrator functions, fund operations, and period closes
• Perform and present analytics to leadership on fund performance
• Train and mentor other firm staff
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 7 to 10 years accounting experience with public funds, coming from either a top tier public accounting firm or in house at a fund with public filings
• CPA preferred
