Land Planner needed in our clients Downtown Fort Lauderdale office to join the Land Use Practice Group. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure timely task completion and the implementation of best practices in plan administration. The Land Planner is responsible for reviewing plans for development projects in accordance with local regulations and advising clients and consultant regarding entitlement options.

- Process of approvals required for land development, including amendments to comprehensive plans, zoning changes, platting, site planning, variances, vacation of easements and roadway rights-of-way, and municipal annexations of land.
- Review of title documentation, surveys, and design plans.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants.
- Advise clients on entitlements and regulatory issues.
- Code and comprehensive plan research.
- Prepare of due diligence reports.
- Present and answer questions from the public about development projects at community meetings.
- The Land Planner must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Additionally, the Land Planner will be responsible for tracking and recording their own billable time.
- Bachelor's degree or similar experience and background preferred.
- AICP certification also preferred.
