WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Philadelphia, PA!
Job Function:
- Responsible for receiving written prescription or refill requests, verifying that information is accurate under supervising pharmacist
- Prepare bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and attach labels
- Maintain proper storage and security for all drugs
- Deliver medications to patient care areas, refill automated dispensing cabinets, and conduct medication station reviews while adhering to department policies
- Order medications and supplies as needed or requested
- Assist patients by answering questions or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or NHA
- Must have pharmacy dispensing experience
- Sterile processing experience is required
- 2 years previous Pharmacy Technician experience required
