Our client, a highly successful hedge fund with over $60B AUM, is looking to hire a Product Control Associate for a newly created position within the firm. This person will be responsible for overseeing P&L reporting, risk and valuation control, and trade lifecycle support for credit-related products. This role requires you to be in the office Monday through Thursday.

- P&L Calculation and Reporting:
- Daily production of P&L for credit-related products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with trading activity.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly P&L reporting, including the preparation of commentary on performance and risk metrics.
- Risk and Valuation Control:
- Perform valuation checks and support the validation of mark-to-market prices for credit products, including CDS, bonds, loans, and securitized instruments.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure accurate exposure reporting and adherence to risk limits.
- Trade Lifecycle Support:
- Monitor and verify trade booking and settlement for credit products.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of positions and cash flows with the middle office and operations teams.
- Reporting and Data Analysis:
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to provide timely insights into portfolio performance and risk metrics.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as required by senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with traders, risk managers, and other control functions to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to improve workflow efficiency.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in product control, middle office, operation or accounting within the Credit space
- Exposure to credit products such as CDS, cash bonds, CLOs, structured credit, and credit derivatives is essential.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, or similar platforms).
