Sr Internal Auditor

Our client, a premier real estate and construction firm that is fully backed by a major brand name Private Equity fund, is looking to add a Senior Internal Auditor in Connectcut, Norwalk. Job Function

• Support management in maintaining the SOX program by conducting walkthroughs, documenting processes and controls, identifying key processes, and guiding control owners.
• Lead control walkthroughs with external auditors and serve as the liaison between auditors and internal process/control owners.
• Perform testing to assess the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting for in-scope business processes.
• Collaborate with control owners to investigate control gaps or deficiencies, providing practical recommendations to remediate issues and strengthen internal controls.
• Actively contribute to annual SOX program planning, scoping activities, and support Internal Audit and Finance with ongoing risk assessments.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including management, auditees, external audit teams, and the Brookfield Infrastructure internal audit team.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in public audit, internal audit advisory, or internal audit required.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.
• SOX experience required.
• Real estate or construction experience preferred, but open on industry.
