Thoracic Surgery PA

Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant needed for Community Hospital in Rockland County. Employed position with competitive compensation plan and benefits (health, dental, vision, disability), retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME, generous PTO plan, paid medical malpractice including tail coverage.

Job Function:

• Practice has two other thoracic surgeon and this is a newly created role to support the department
• Combination of office visits, pre-op, post-op care and first-assist time in the OR
• Expect to be first assisting in the OR 1-2 days per week
• Surgical practice as a whole includes thoracic, vascular and colorectal service lines including robotics
• Schedule of Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm with an on-call rotation once a month for inpatient/outpatient care
• Strong collegial group - hospital has a multispecialty "floor" to interface with other specialties for collaboration (ENT, Endo, Pulm, Psychiatry)

Job Requirements:

• Masters as a Physician Assistant Required
• NY License Required
• Experience in thoracic surgery preferred, willing to consider other surgical specialty experience
