Trade Operations Associate - Systematic Quant Fund

A growing systematic quant fund is looking to make its second hire in Trading Operations - an instrumental role in scaling infrastructure for anticipated growth and the launch of new funds. This position will be responsible for managing the full trade lifecycle, including trade execution, clearing, margin optimization, PnL reconciliation, and real-time reporting, while also driving automation and process improvements. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days in office.

Job Function

Daily Functions:

• Monitor real-time trades to ensure accuracy within EMS/PMS throughout trading sessions.
• Assess trade impact on portfolio metrics and risk, allocating orders among clearing brokers to optimize margin.
• Reconcile trades, positions, PnL, commissions, and stock borrow, resolving systemic issues and non-routine breaks with counterparties.
• Identify upcoming corporate actions and trading restrictions, assessing their potential impacts.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis, including trading hours by security, broker algorithms, and the value of exchange seats.
• Assess and hedge portfolio FX exposure.
• Track and ensure timeliness of margin-related movements.

• Automate key processes to enhance efficiency without compromising reliability.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools while optimizing existing systems.
• Shape data ingestion, storage, and interface workflows.
• Onboard new brokers and securities, contributing to the launch of new strategies.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from an accredited university. Strong academic profile (high GPA and/or SAT/ACT scores) preferred.
• 1-5 years of relevant trading operations experience, ideally from a systematic trading or quant firm.
• Proficiency in Python is required; familiarity with SQL, VBA, or PowerBI is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Enfusion is a strong plus but not required.
• Knowledge of Bash, Git, or Apache Kafka is a plus but not required.
