General Surgeon for Multiple Clinical Settings

Overview:
Surgery locums coverage at a facility in Seneca, PA presents an excellent opportunity for skilled general surgeons to work across various clinical settings with a strong support team in place for both hospital-based and outpatient surgical care.

Compensation:
The compensation package includes:

• $325/hr regular
• $2700/clinic 24 hour call
• $400/hr call back

Job Description:
This ongoing position involves responsibilities at multiple locations including clinic duties, elective OR procedures, and on-call shifts for general surgery cases. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Clinic Duties: Assess scheduled patients and determine the need for surgery; coordinate surgery schedules with the OR team.
• Rounding: Morning rounds with another surgeon and APP.
• Procedures: Bread and butter general surgery procedures including appendectomy, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopies (upper & lower scopes).
• On-Call Duties: Provide 24-hour clinic and call shifts (minimum of 2 days per week).

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Certifications: Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery
• Licensure: Pennsylvania State License (or willing to obtain)
• Experience: 1 year of experience preferred
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, CPR, and PALS
• DEA: Required

The facility utilizes EMR Systems: Cerner and Epic.

Salary : $325 - $2,700
