Key Responsibilities Test Design and Planning
Create detailed test designs, processes, cases, and data in accordance with project requirements.
Review project documentation and requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Develop test plans, outlining the scope, objectives, and approach for each testing phase.
Execution of Tests
Conduct manual and automated tests according to established testing procedures.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing as required.
Identify defects, report issues, and verify bug fixes throughout the testing process.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain clear and concise documentation for test plans, results, and issue logs.
Document and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and proper communication to the development team.
Prepare detailed test reports, summarizing the results and highlighting critical issues.
Quality Assurance
Ensure that all test-related work is carried out according to defined standards, procedures, and best practices.
Assist in refining and improving testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency.
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that quality is maintained throughout the development process.
Qualifications and Skills Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Experience
Proven experience as a software tester or in a similar quality assurance role.
Experience with different testing types, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
