Job Title: City Beach/Water Sports Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Start date: around April 1st

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily beach or water sports facility operations, including scheduling, staffing, and ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the beach and surrounding areas.
• Develop and implement procedures for opening/closing, safety protocols, and customer services.

Staff Management:

• Partner with general manager to hire, train, and supervise staff, including rental and retail attendants.
• Partner with general manager to create staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak times.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct regular evaluations.

Customer Experience:

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
• Plan and organize water sports activities, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, etc.
• Develop promotions and marketing strategies to attract new visitors or regular customers.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations related to beach and water sports operations.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Ensure all water sports equipment (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) are well-maintained, cleaned, and properly stored.
• Monitor inventory levels of gear and supplies,
• Ensure the beach area is clean and well-maintained, trash collection, and common areas.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Guide experience is a must. Water guide specific is preferred.
• Previous experience in managing beach operations, water sports, or outdoor recreation.
• CPR, First Aid is a plus

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and handle financial planning.
• Knowledge of water sports, safety regulations, and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in marketing and social media management.

Work Environment:

• The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, particularly in the summer months.
• Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays due to the nature of the business.
• Physical stamina is necessary for overseeing the beach and water sports activities.

Salary & Benefits:

• $24/hour (depending on experience)
• Benefits: free rentals when available

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
