The Pine Lodge, located near downtown Whitefish is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to work with our Team
A Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the training and supervision of the housekeeping team’s daily tasks including, but not limited to, assigning housekeeping boards for team members at the start of each shift, conducting stand up meetings for optimal communication among the team, and ensuring all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained according to Averill Hospitality Standards (including front of house and back of house).
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular department meetings to ensure strong communication among staff.
- Assign “boards” to housekeeping team at the beginning of each day.
- Oversee daily tasks of Housekeepers, Housemen, Laundry Attendant and Breakfast Attendant.
- Assisting housekeeping in cleaning rooms.
- Creates and implements SOPs for quality insurance for the Housekeeping Department.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure it is ready for check-in.
- Create employee schedules and handles payroll for the housekeeping department.
- Order supplies and keep track of inventory for the Housekeeping Department.
- Reports necessary maintenance issues to Front Office so a work order is made.
- Follows departmental policies and procedures.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Operating Housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, maid cart, etc.
- Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
- Must maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.

EDUCATION-
High School or High School equivalent is an asset
EXPERIENCE/ LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
- Prior experience in related field is an asset.
Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 20 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
