Job Overview:
The janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the dealership including office spaces, service bays, restrooms, and other common areas. The ideal candidate will ensure tidiness that is welcoming to both customers and staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, office spaces, drivers lounge, and other common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, wax, and operate a floor scrubber and other equipment required to maintain floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, counters, and equipment
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness in exterior areas, including parking lots and entrances, removing litter and debris
- Assist with cleaning and organizing parts and service areas as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Constant standing and walking for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, while performing cleaning duties
- Constant bending, twisting, crouching, and reaching
- Strong manual dexterity ability to use cleaning tools and equipment with coordination and precision
- Must have stamina and endurance to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the course of the workday
