Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trailer Technician to join our dealership team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of semi truck trailers, excluding tankers and refrigerated trailers.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on semi-truck trailers, identifying mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Conduct repairs on trailer components, including brakes, axles, tires, suspension systems, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair trailer lighting and wiring systems, including DOT-compliant lighting.
- Inspect and replace trailer tires and wheels, ensuring proper inflation and alignment.
- Maintain and repair trailer braking systems, including air brakes, drum brakes, and related components.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and modification work when necessary to repair or enhance trailer components.
- Ensure trailers are in compliance with industry safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Provide maintenance services, including lubrication and fluid checks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and services performed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and new repair techniques.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- CDL class A preferred but not required
- Fleet or dealership experience preferred but not required.
- Trailer repair and maintenance experience.
- Team-orientation and dedication to excellent customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and works collaboratively with fellow team members to drive team success.
- Strong detail-orientation, communication, and time management skills.
- Self-driven and professional demeanor.
- Must have your own tools.
