What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney (Business Litigation Associate) position at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP?
Whiteford is seeking a business litigation associate with at least two years of experience to handle corporate litigation and general litigation work in the Firm’s Columbia, Maryland office.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with complex commercial litigation, insurance issues, corporate governance, collection matters, and civil rights matters.
- General litigation experience with trials, motions, discovery, settlements and all other aspects of a busy litigation practice is also required.
- Excellent academic credentials and exceptional research, analytical, written, and oral communication skills are a must.
- Clerkship experience is a plus as is experience advocating before administrative bodies or in arbitration.
- Candidates must be admitted to the bar of Maryland. Additional bar admission(s) in DC or VA would also be a plus.
