Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Business Solutions, Restructuring, and Financial Litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have relevant legal experience dealing with complex financial litigation, restructuring cases, and business solutions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support, including document preparation, calendar management, client communication, and coordination of transactional matters related to business restructuring and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys within the Business Solutions, Restructuring, and Financial Litigation practice group, including calendar management and correspondence handling.
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, contracts, agreements, court filings, and correspondence related to financial litigation, restructuring, and business transactions.
- Maintain, organize, and manage case files, client records, and other legal documents specific to business restructuring and financial litigation.
- Coordinate the execution of legal documents, obtaining signatures, notarization, and filing as required by courts and regulatory agencies.
- Manage and track litigation deadlines, ensuring timely filings and submissions.
- Assist attorneys with document reviews, discovery, and regulatory compliance related to restructuring and financial litigation matters.
- Prepare and file regulatory, corporate, and bankruptcy-related documents as required by federal and state laws.
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including organizing evidence and materials.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive legal and client matters.
- Organize team meetings, prepare meeting materials, and track follow-up actions related to ongoing litigation or restructuring cases.
- Handle administrative tasks related to billing, time entry, and expense reporting for attorneys.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff and legal professionals to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, often conflicting deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of the court system including filing procedures, deadlines, and local rules, to support the efficient management of legal documents and litigation processes within the Business Solutions, Restructuring, and Financial Litigation practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal documentation, contract management, and regulatory filings related to business and financial matters.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, especially in high-stakes litigation or restructuring scenarios.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
- Ability to create an organized filing system for litigation and restructuring matters.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but high school diploma accepted with some college or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in a law firm or legal setting, with a focus on financial litigation, business restructuring, or related fields.
- Experience in handling complex financial, corporate, or restructuring matters is required.
- Experience in communicating with regulatory bodies and court systems is highly preferred.

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
