QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Ohio certification/licensure
- Bachelor’s degree
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To help students prepare and present a high quality musical theatre production.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advise the Musical Director and Vocal Assistant Director (for the Musical) during the musical repertoire selection process.
- Supervise the selection of pit orchestra musicians and, if necessary, coordinate hiring with the Musical Director and Director of Administrative Services.
- Coordinate with the Vocal Assistant Director the scheduling of vocal music and pit orchestra rehearsals.
- Supervise and conduct all rehearsals for pit orchestra musicians.
- Conduct all student performers and instrumentalists during dress rehearsals and production performances.
ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
- Assisting students with behavioral/management needs
- Frequent evening and/or weekend work
