What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Intervention Coordinator (25-26 school year) position at Whitehall City School District?
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Ohio Guidance (K-12) preferred Or Elementary Certification
- Three or more years of successful teaching experience at elementary level
- Demonstrated leadership skills and communication skills
- Demonstrated curriculum and instructional leadership skills
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Intervention
- Coordinate the building Intervention Assistance Team, including scheduling and attending MFE.
- Facilitate process for IAT forms.
- Schedule weekly meetings.
- Maintain IAT case management file for each referred student.
- Facilitate academic and behavioral intervention plans for non-competent and non-proficient students.
- Provide teachers with resources to develop options for intervention.
- Assist teachers in developing appropriate intervention plan.
- Summer school determination.
- Placement and retention determination.
- Supporting the maintenance of the building behavior plan.
- Maintain records of suspensions, emergency removals and office referrals.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
