Your role would be to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day to day operations. Coordinate 3D models of conduit, lighting and equipment for clash detection purposes. Create shop drawings and assist with construction design plans as well as any other responsibilities the project may require.
Job Description:
We are seeking a BIM Modeler / Project Manager Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in both Revit and AutoCAD, with a focus on effective file organization and model coordination. As part of our BIM/CAD support team, you will be responsible for producing accurate, high-quality models and drawings to support project needs across various stages of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the BIM/CAD team to maintain consistent model quality and adherence to project standards.
- Manage and organize project files to ensure accessibility and proper version control and maintain company standards.
- Write Requests for Information (RFI's)
- Handle permitting process and inspection requests
- Submit and maintain documentation for materials
Revit Experience Required:
- Set up and manage project views, sheets, view templates, and annotations.
- Export and print shop drawings for field personnel, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Link and manage external models, ensuring coordination across disciplines.
- Model pipe routes, place and modify components, and create section and callout views.
- Utilize Revit’s visibility graphics and properties to effectively troubleshoot any roadblocks.
- Actively participate in weekly BIM coordination meetings, addressing any model conflicts with other trades as needed.
- Prepare 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit.
Technical Skills and Expertise:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple files and revisions.
- Proficient in Revit with a deep understanding of project setup, component placement, and external model management.
- Ability to create clear and accurate construction documents, ensuring they are ready for field implementation.

Requirements:
- Revit: 1 year
- 50 WPM or greater typing speed
- Excellent written & verbal skills
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Revit Family Creation/Editing
- Navisworks
- Editing & Annotating PDF's in Bluebeam.
- Navisworks for model review and clash detection.
- Familiarity with BIM modeling processes and standards.
- Experience in AutoCAD, with knowledge of blocks, Xrefs, layers, and basic drawing modification commands.
