Maintenance Assistant Position Summary
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Director with all related tasks. Their leadership role includes the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the community remains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for Life Safety Code compliance.
- Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc.
- Maintain the facility by working on all applicable tasks.
- Perform any related tasks assigned by the Maintenance Director, the Administrator or Regional Maintenance Director.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
Maintenance Assistant Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance or plant related position
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Director in long-term care is preferred.
