Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and maintaining compliance with regulations. This role is crucial in facilitating the revenue cycle by processing claims efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Review and verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate billing.
• Code medical records using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to reflect diagnoses and procedures.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, conducting medical collections as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing or coding.
• Maintain organized medical records and documentation for auditing purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding practices, and billing regulations.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience with medical records management and understanding of the revenue cycle process is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (Dr Chrono) systems is advantageous.
