We also provide a wide array of value-added services, encompassing VMI, Kitting, Assemblies, and Custom 3PL. With a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Buyer to join our team. The Whitesell Buyer is responsible for procuring finished goods, production components, raw material, tooling, services, MRO items, etc. to meet internal and external customer requirements while minimizing costs. This is a mid-level position that requires experience and has the potential for internal growth opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage Whitesell purchase order lifecycle. Knowledge and ability to recognize emergent needs in supply and act in partnership with supplier to meet deadlines.
· Discuss defective goods or services with quality personnel, users, suppliers, and others to determine the problem. Create the supplier concern, request, and receive supplier corrective action and expedite replacement product and work with Quality personnel for closure.
· Maintain procurement records in Whitesell’s ERP system. Included but not limited to supplier set up, supplier for purchase part record, approved supplier list, supplier certifications, supplier performance, supplier planned delivery.
· Manage supplier relationships. Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service quotations for new business. Review supplier quotations with appropriate personnel to ensure the quotation meets customer requirements.
· Internal direct communication regarding material cost variations to relevant departments.
· Negotiation of price to obtain cost reduction with suppliers.
· Verification of supplier invoices and partner with finance to resolve discrepancies.

Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain with 2 years related industry experience or associate degree and 3 years related industry experience.
Communication Skills:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Mathematical Skills:
· Basic math skills required.
