General Summary of Duties: Under the general supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer, develops, implements, and evaluates the dental practice delivery model in accordance with state and federal laws and goals of Whiteside County Community Health Clinic. In addition, practices as a dentist, providing direct patient services
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Supervision: The Dental Director provides overall direction of clinical activities of staff and is expected to provide on-site day-to-day clinical supervision of dentists and dental staff as well as support to scheduling clinic rotation, call and leave. The Dental Director assists with assigning duties to Dental Managers, acts as a mentor/coach to dental assistants and dental hygienists and develops, implements and manages the Dental Assistant Trainee Program.
2. Overall WCCHC Program Management: The Dental Director shares in the administrative functions of WCCHC that directly impact dental services and is expected to collaborate with the management team in overall planning and budgeting activities for the dental department as well as participating in personnel matters relating to staffing plans, recruiting, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations of dental providers, assistants, hygienists and trainees.
3. Quality Assurance: The Dental Director assures the delivery of quality services to all patients and is expected to participate in quality assurance activities as assigned.
4. Staff Liaison: The Dental Director serves as the liaison between dental staff and administration.
5. Professional Representative: The Dental Director will represent WCCHC at applicable dental societies, hospitals, professional organizations, groups and agencies.
6. Coordinate and manage individual patient care as well as collaborate with other dentists and the expanded team in the coordination of patient care.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $195,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
