What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Sanitarian position at Whiteside County Health Department?
Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Health Sanitarian to join our environmental health team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to deal with the public and businesses in our community. As an Environmental Health Sanitarian, you will work under the supervision of our Director of Environmental Health, assisting with the Tanning and Body Art Program and property maintenance/nuisance complaints. This position will review and approve Cottage Food applications, perform low risk facility inspections, oversee the Non-Community Well Program, complete landfill inspections weekly and assist in basic office duties.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Associates degree in physical science or a combination of three (3) college credit hours in math and six (6) college credit hours in physical, chemical or biological science, required
- One (1) to three (3) years of related experience, preferred
