Field Technician Position Summary:
The Field Technician position is an entry level role that assists with repairs and other tasks associated with water, wastewater, and utility systems.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences for Field Technician:
- High school diploma and on-the-job training required.
- 3-12 months' experience in a similar work environment.
- Personal drive to learn water and wastewater operations.
- Work harmoniously, co-operatively and courteously with others at all times.
- Be able to follow specific directions, perform a variety of duties which may change often, work within standards of accuracy.
- Repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures and evaluate information using measurable standards.
- Physically, workers must be able to: stand or walk for long periods, use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects, carry tools and equipment, stoop, kneel and crouch and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction).
- OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
