PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATIONThe purpose of this classification is to supervise participants and activities at a County recreational facility after normal business hours. * OPEN UNTIL FILLED*
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.Supervises facility participants after normal working hours; ensures participants use facility in a safe manner.Maintains control of equipment usage, including basketball goal and balls; raises and lowers basketball goals; ensures the safe and proper use of equipment.Maintains cleanliness of facility; buffs floors; monitors and maintains supplies in public restrooms as required.Communicates with the public in person and over the telephone; answers questions related to programs and activities offered at the facility; responds to questions about game schedules and rules.Operates a buffing machine, drill, general office equipment, or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONSPerforms other related duties as required.

PERFORMANCE APTITUDESData Utilization: Requires the ability to calculate and/or tabulate data. Includes performing subsequent actions in relation to these computational operations.Human Interaction: Requires the ability to provide guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others regarding the application of procedures and standards to specific situations.Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to start, stop, operate and monitor the functioning of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information.Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition and subtraction. May include counting, recording of counts, and basic measuring.Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
