What are the responsibilities and job description for the SLEEP LAB SCHEDULER PART TIME (hours will vary) position at Whitfield Regional Hospital?
Summary Of Duties: The scheduler will efficiently schedule sleep studies, maintain medical records with a focus on documentation needed for patients to obtain cpap and cpap supplies, provide communication and support to the sleep technician. The scheduler must manage all sleep referrals and neuro referrals intended for ANSM as well as establish and maintain a rapport with patients, the medical director and his support staff, and referring physicians and their offices and DME companies for the continued care of patients.
Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Sleep lab scheduler Responsibilities:
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments as required.
- Answering patients’ questions regarding diagnostic sleep testing.
- Providing instructions to patients to ensure that they are prepared for examinations and procedures.
- Confirming patient appointments.
- Courteously receiving incoming telephone calls and taking messages as needed.
- Explaining financial requirements and obligations to patients.
- Verifying insurance details and informing patients of deductibles, copays, and co-insurances
- Filing documents and organizing supplies.
- Providing necessary support to travel clinics that may be using the space.
- Answering patients’ questions regarding travel clinic services and contact information.
