Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum:
●Teach high school and middle school band and choir.
●Teach AP Music Theory and other music-related courses as assigned.
●Develop engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and foster musical growth.
●Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
●Foster an appreciation for music in students of all skill levels.
●Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all aspects of the curriculum and classroom activities.
Ensemble & Performance Direction:
●Direct and oversee the high school and middle school Chapel Bands, helping students lead worship in a Christ-centered manner.
●Direct vocal ensembles, jazz band, pep band, and other small musical groups.
●Plan, organize, and lead concerts, performances, and special musical events throughout the school year.
●Prepare students for participation in music competitions and festivals.
Administrative & Leadership Duties:
●Coordinate with school administration to develop and promote the music program.
●Maintain an organized and effective classroom and rehearsal space.
●Manage music department resources, including sheet music, instruments, and sound equipment.
●Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and the school community about performances and events.
●Provide mentorship and leadership to student musicians.
●Provide leadership and organization for performance opportunities in the community and for annual tours for band/choir.
Salary : $43,700 - $83,000
