JOB DESCRIPTION
Support Provost and Dean of Faculty in administering general HR policies and services for Faculty. Provide daily oversight and administration of faculty HR policies, processes and communications, including recruitment, compensation, benefits. Utilize, manage and maintain software systems and processes that support payroll, benefits, accounting, recruiting and other departments, and assist in transforming processes using HRIS systems to yield meaningful data, improved efficiency and consistent processes. Serve as Administrator for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), train users, and evaluate outcomes of ATS. Assist in managing institutional salaries budget. Assist new faculty hires with visas in coordination with immigration attorney. Maintain schedules for contract renewal, tenure and promotion; prepare or oversee periodic performance reviews; and coordinate administrative support for external reviews. Supervise 1 administrative staff person responsible for some HR tasks. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within normal commuting distance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources-related occupation, including at least two (2) years of experience in each of the following areas:

- Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, and benefit administration;
- Developing and implementing systems to build a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism; and
- Conducting complex analysis in the course of conducting investigations.
- Also requires at least 6 months of work experience in each of the following areas:
- HR in an academic environment with exposure to faculty organizational structures and processes; and
- Working with Colleague and/or BambooHR.
