What are the responsibilities and job description for the News reporter position at Whitman County Gazette?
The Whitman County Gazette is looking for a reporter to cover news, community events and people in Whitman County. Report on city government, schools, people, crime, events and more in the rolling hills of the Palosue.
Our readers are loyal and expect our reporters to be their eyes and ears. As a "professional observer," we want your stories to make our readers feel as if they are present when a story takes place. Our reporters cover things as they occur, report what people say and respect readers enough to let them decide between fact, fiction and bluster. We're not looking for aspiring "fact checkers," we want for-the-record reporters.
If you have traditional reporting experience, photography skills and can blend the two with digital and social media, we want to hear from you.
