ITLE : Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
REPORTS TO : Building Principal / Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL : To provide high-quality services, assessments, and consultation across the district in collaboration with building-based and district staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Completes all progress reports within timelines mandated by IDEA
Maintains written records of service delivery for all students
Consult with SLP, staff, and families regarding interventions and strategies for identified students.
Observe students in their learning environments, as requested
Provides direct clinical services to students in a variety of settings, as require
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with evaluation instruments and tools.
Medicaid session reporting
Consult with other medical / clinical professionals, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
- Valid License to Practice as a Registered Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
