What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Library/ Media and ELA Tutor position at Whitman Middle?
REPORTS TO:
Principal/Asst Principal in conjunction with ELA Curriculum Coordinator
LOCATION: Whitman Middle School 100 Corthell Ave, Whitman, MA 02382
QUALIFICATIONS and JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- DESE Certification in ELA Subject Area preferred, certification in any DESE area acceptable or Associate's Degree or higher
- Ability to work with students in the media center in small group to address deficit skills
- Ability to handle the chrome book loaner program for students who forget theirs
- Ability to maintain the collection of media materials and add to as deemed necessary and appropriate
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to help students and build both their academic and social emotional skills.
- All other duties as assigned
HOURS of EMPLOYMENT:
Daily 7:30 AM-2:30 PM (7 hrs a day)
35 hours a week when school is in session.
